Mastoplasty breast

Additive mastoplasty is an operation that increases the volume of the breast by introducing prostheses. The operation takes place under general anesthesia, the procedure lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. During the preoperative visit the technique used, the access route and the type and volume of the prosthesis will be established. In most cases the prosthesis is placed below the pectoral muscle according to the dual plane technique, which allows not only to better protect the prosthesis but also to obtain very natural results. The approach is established based on the shape of the breast and the type of prosthesis used: it can be axillary, peri-areolar or submammary. A small round prosthesis can be inserted through the armpit, a small anatomical prosthesis (drip) from the peri-areolar pathway, any type of prosthesis from the submammary route The scars, however, are a few centimeters long and over time are less and less visible. The shape and volume of the prosthesis are chosen based on the height of the patient, the dimensions and proportions between the shoulders, the chest and the sides of the patient, so that the final result is as harmonious and natural as possible.
